    Early Life and Education

    Vano Merabishvili was born on December 11, 1968, in the village of Ude, Georgia.

    In 1992, he graduated from the Georgian Polytechnic University with a degree in Mining Engineering. He subsequently worked as a laboratory assistant, senior laboratory assistant, assistant professor, and junior research associate at the Georgian Polytechnic University and Georgian Agricultural University.

    Political Career

    Rise to Power

    In 1999, Merabishvili was elected to the Georgian Parliament.
