LaRoyce Hawkins is an American actor, stand-up comic, spoken word artist, and musician well known for his roles on NBC’s police drama Chicago P.D.

Hawkins attended Thornton High School where he played basketball.

Hawkins left the basketball team for a year and joined the speech team where his grandfather was told: “to choose what will enable you to feel better.” He was the third to comedy for the state IHSA Competition, in which he and a partner also won the state title in 2006, in the Humorous Duet Acting, while Hawkins also ranked fourth that year in the Original Comedy.

In 2005, he won the title of the state at the Original Comedy event of the Illinois High School Association.
